This earth, this duniya, is a drop of a sea The final destination, The Akhirra, which is beyond infinity

This test and trial makes me blue Fighting shaytaan is the hardest thing I ever had to do

Years and days will quickly go by To Allah alone I cry, who will always stay close by my side

Allah has commanded us to give Zakah and Pray, This Deen is of Allah and his Messenger, not some play So let us repent for the sins we commit night & day

My days are lonely and they are cold, My goal is to obey Allah as my days grow old & he takes my soul

Allah is present everywhere, Allhamdu lillah my connection with him is strong He lives in my heart, his mercy and blessings are enormous & beyond

When I sacrifice and give up something for his sake, In return he rewards me with something better in its place

My life is corrupted and my days are rough, Sometimes my tests and trials get so tough, But for the sake of Allah, it's never enough

Allah & his Quran is my guide If he wasn't there for me, I'd break, swelter & die

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلنِىْ مِمَّنْ تَوَكَّلَ عَلَيْكَ فَكَفَيْتَهُ وَ اسْتَهْدكَ فَهَدَيْتَهُ وَ اسْتَنْصَرَكَ فَنَصَرْتَهُ

Allahummaj 'alni miman tawwakala 'alaika, fakafait-tahu wastahdaka fahadaittahu wastansaraka fanasaratahu

(O Allah! Let us be among those who had complete trust in Thee; so You sufficed them; and they sought guidance from Thee; so You directed them to the right Path; and they asked help of Thee; so You assisted them.)

A man may speak of God’s pleasure without giving it much importance and yet be raise din status by his Creator. A man may say something which is abhorrent to God, without, attaching any importance to it, and it may sweep him straight into Hell. (Al-Bukhari, on the authority of Abu Hurairah).

A man without trust is a man without faith. And a man who does not fulfill his promises is a man without faith. (Ahmad ibn Hanbal, on the authority of Anas ibn Malik).

"The Prophet, salAllahu alaiyhi wasalam, said to him while Ibn-Abbas was riding behind him on the same mount;

"young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be mindful of Allah and you will find him in front of you. If you ask, ask only Allah and if you seek help, seek help only from Allah. And know that if all the nations were to gather together to benefit you, they would benefit you only with something that Allah had already prescribed for you, and if they gather together to harm you, they would harm you only with something that Allah had already prescribed for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages are dry."

"And when my servants ask you concerning me, [tell them] I am indeed near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls." [surah al Baqarah; 2:187]

"For any one among you, if the door of acceptance of du`a is opened, then the doors of His Mercy are also opened. The best du`a Allah likes is the one in which the caller asks for the goodness of this world and the goodness of the next world." [at-Tirmidhi, al-Hakim

A smile is sadaqa, The Prophet said so.

A smile is sadaqa, so give to everyone you know.

A smile is sadaqa, so take one wherever you go.

A smile is sadaqa, so smile.... you'll be glad you did so!

When I say. . .I am a Muslim,

I'm not shouting " down with Christians and Jews."

I am whispering "I seek peace," and Islam is the path that I choose.

When I say. . . I am a Muslim,

I speak of this with pride.

And confess that sometimes I stumble, and need Allah to be my guide.

When I say. . .I am a Muslim,

I know this makes me strong.

And in those times when I am weak, I pray to Allah for strength to carry on.

When I say. . . I am a Muslim,

I'm not boasting of success.

I'm acknowledging that Allah has rescued me, and I cannot ever repay the debt.

When I say. . .I am a Muslim,

I'm not claiming to be perfect.

My flaws are indeed visible, but Allah forgives because his followers are worth it.

When I say. . .I am a Muslim,

it does not mean I will never feel pain.

I still have my share of heartaches, which is why I invoke Allah's name.

When I say. . .I am a Muslim,

I do not wish to judge.

I have no such authority. My duty is to submit to Allah's all-encompassing love.
