Poeple call me Blacky. It is a nickname i got many
years ago while I was playing Norwaycup. In case
you don't know it is a football competition for
the youth from all over the world which is held in
Norway every year.I was the darkest one among our
team,so they called me blacky since they didn't
know my name cause I was new in the team.The nick
followed me and my friends both blacks and whites
call me blacky. I like the reactions I see
sometimes at my university when some whites who
are trying to be politically correct hear my white
friends who call me blacky.For me, it is just a
nickname which I like very much. I feel sorry for
the ones who come to me just to ask for permition
to call me blacky for they are afraid of being
accused of racism.I just laugh and say "It's my
name, though it's assosiated with my colour don't
be afraid to use it, cause I don't mind to be
assosiated with my beautiful colour. I'm proud to
be black and would not change if I could.
