Sound of bombs raining down on fellow Somalis

This is about the war in Somalia back in the early '90s and I guess I wrote it cause it seems like history keeps repeating itself.... America can't seem to stay outta our country I guess it has got something to do with the new found oil in Somalia. WHAT NOW? We were once self mutilating like mental patients, blood letting as in some medieval practice, Heading towards on a self destructive past, as the great hunger sated the carnivorous creature of civil war, As children grew feeble and thin, and died, thrown away like bad grain spilt, machine gun bullets as toys, Living in abject poverty, disunity and loss of culture burrowing into our skin like parasitic worms... Moving to new lands trying to save ourselves, envisioning a better tomorrow Disenfranchised in this democratic nation, voiceless, rebelling against this racism and loneliness No
family, reoccurring dreams, harkening to dark painful memorises,
subtlety whispering in my conscious, their screams shatter my dreams This loneliness and longing for home as a child longs for her mother's teat, I too long for my mother-country SOMALIA.
