The general of Egypt Adullah Ibn Sara’ advanced with an army of 20,000 mujahideen to fight the Romans. The Romans numbered 200,000. They were 10 times more than the Muslims. The commander of the Roman army has announced that “who ever kills the commander of Muslim army will get his daughter in hand and Ill give him 100,000 dinar”. The muslims upon hearing this were very anxious because they knew that the kuffar would now try their best to kill the muslim commander Abdullah.
When Abdullah Ibn Zubayr heard this.He said “ there is nothing to worry about.If this is what the kuffar have announced then we announce that who ever kills the commander of the Roman army will have his daughters hand in marriage(the daughter of the Roman commander) and he will get 200,000 dinar and we will also give him governship over the land that is now ruled by the Romans”.
The Muslims numbered 20,000 the kuffar were 200,000. It was a fierce battle.Abdullah ibn zubayr succeeds in spotting the Roman Commander, sitting behind his soldiers.Abdullh ibn zubayr outskirts 200,000 Roman soldiers and reaches the Roman commander.He succeeds in taking his head off and places it on his spear. Abdullah Ibn zubayr brings back the head of the Roman Commander to the muslim camp.Subahanllah Abdullah was in his early twenties. The 20,000 muslims can not believe what Abdullah has done the 200,000 Romans cant believe what Abdullah has done.
Tariq Ibn Ziyad was muslim youth who was chosen to lead the army to conquer spain. They reach spain ,when the kuffar hav come 2 know that the Muslims hav com to spain .The Kuffar 100,000 strong march toward the Muslims. The Muslims were in a strange land, the weather was different, the environment was different. There was 100,000 kuffar in front of them the ocean behind them.There was only 1 option left for them, to board their ships and go bck to their homeland. But this young youth had a dream. He decided today there is no return. He burns their ships, beause today he decided either the flag of “la ilaha ilala” will fly high in spain or their blood will flow in the oceans of spain.He marches with his army and defeats 100,000 kuffar.
These were the Muslim youth of the past. They knew the hadiths of the prophet(peace be upon him) .They knew that the future of a Nation lies in their youth.
There are seven whom Allah will shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade:
1) a just ruler;
2) a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic;
3) a man whose heart is attached to the mosques;
4) two men who love each other for Allah’s sake, meeting for that and parting upon that;
5) a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse], but be says: ‘I fear Allah’,
6) a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity;
7) and a man who remembered Allah in private and so his eyes shed tears.”
