I take pride in the accomplishments of my ancestors, who were oppressed BECAUSE of their race. Although I don't DEFINE myself by my race, I do believe that it is one of the many things that inspires me to go above and beyond expectations

My grandmother used to tell me that I was a representative of islam" not race, and to remember whose blood ran through my veins. Whenever I feel like being lazy or letting something slide, I pull from the knowledge that I'm able to do things that r only 2 please ALLAH not race

No it does not, been a muslim defines me and everything i do i try to do it as a muslim. I am gulty of sometimes joking around about differnt qabiils but i only do it around people who i have known all my life. I normally avoid joking about qabiil on the forum because you never know if someone takes it the wrong way or not. That been said you should always be proud of what ever qabiil you come from, i have seen some dudes shy away like females which is bullshit.

Just before ramadan an old lady asked me what qabiil i was...I answered straight away and then i asked her. She slaped me and called me a wasaq The moral of the story is the older generation follow different rules than us so dont pay too much attention to them.
