I will never forget the first day we met, Sometime three years ago, Or the words we said, our first exchange, Something about, you know, I saw you just about all the time, We did the same things then, And somehow we became the best of friends, Though I can't seem to say when, And amongst the innocent childlike play, The teasing and endless laughter, The fights, the tears, the making up, And all of that thereafter, I remember a time of epiphany, Things merged into present form, And all the sudden you and me were "we," I recall it being quite not the norm, And though it's hard to define certain things, Even now like our "calendar days," I'll never forget the friendship we have, And how, I love you, because of it, In so many ways.
