The narrow path of life left me in wonder
DATE: 06/18/2007 09:28:59 / MOOD: Other

Lifes many turns has gotten me to admire its greatness and smile many times. Not that I find joy in pain, but it has taught me to find happiness in the simplest things and be grateful for what you have been given. Even at the hardest times of my life He has given me the strength to be the one to give advice. And the clear view to part right from wrong.

Yet so many times the narrow path of life left me in wonder, thinking what if? Knowing that a path is chosen for us all I tried to knock that thought out of my mind and concentrate on the present. But it’s hard not to be nostalgic when you miss the old. The old house, the old life and the old family? I know nothing ever remains the same but why must things change in the speed of light? Times are changing and we with them.

I once read a quote saying:

If you think that you have nothing to be grateful for, then be grateful for all the things you don’t have

That quote has stuck on to my memory and whenever I feel a bit low I count up all the things that I don’t have; the disease and the problems. And instantly I realise why I don’t have any reason to complain about anything at all, and why I instead should say: allhamdulliah am alive and healthy.

We do all struggle and we all do have our own battles to fight, but let’s not loose our hope while we are doing that. For our hope is like the light in the end of the tunnel that makes us find our way home.
