Default What were the last three movies you watched?

Thats right, list the last 3 movies you've seen, give them a quick review and then give them a score out of 10.

Mine are as follows:

No country for old men- (Yes I'm late) But I gotta say after reading all the hype for this movie I was afraid it may not live up to its expectations but it did...and then some. It was truly exceptional, the last movie to blow me away (albeit in a completely different manner) like this one was Mel Gibsons Apocalypto. I loved the fact that NCFOM lacked the ear busting soundtrack a lot of big studio productions use to tell the story. The suspense was nearly as perfect as Stanley Kubricks The shinning and the acting by all the characters was so deliciously understated that I found my life falling for the honesty of it all. The Story was a simple premise following the dealings of a strangely likeable serial killer with an original method of disposing of people. I particularly adored the ending, utterly refreshing- I loved how we were allowed to draw our own conclusions. It was somewhat reaslitic in the sense that good things don’t always necessary happen to good people and the same could be said for the opposite. I'll give it a perfect 10/10

Hancock-very humurous, charmingly delightful and just what one needs for a good uncomplicated night out on the silver screen. I personally loved the idea of a doomed love-where one must save their true love by allowing them to live through the spirit of self sacrifice. I was near tears at that part (You’ll know what I mean when you watch it) - then again I’m an eternally somewhat twisted romance so any tragic romances doomed to fail will always clutch at my icy cold heart strings. I’ll give it a 7.5/10.

Kungfu Panda- Highly enjoyable, so wonderfully cute and wickedly executed that I was left breathless in the fight sequence where the Evil Tai lang (Kung fu Tiger) makes a magnificent prison break. That with out a shadow of a doubt was my favourite sequence in the whole movie. Jack Black is undoubtedly back on form playing the endearing uber fan of the furious Five, Po (Kung fu Panda). The most enjoyable animation I’ve seen since- Finding Nemo, and that’s saying something. Over all I’d give this movie a delightful 8.5/10

Now it’s over to you.

I didn't like No Country for Old Men, good acting and all that shit, but honestly, I fell sick after the ten first murders. Calool jileec abaahiis, my male relatives loved it though. You're not by any chance one of my male relatives?

Oh, Kung Fu Panda was da bomb. The best animation film since Ice Age, Nemo and Antz. And it had such a splendid message; even fat kids can be heroes

Michael Clayton
The plot wasn't too bad (bad but not horrible), but the pace was too slow. The lack of action deprived the film of its thrill, and it just became a tiresome ordeal. I am sad to say that I actually fell asleep for a few minutes, I woke up and the guy was still in an office. And what was the deal with Micheal's brother? A pathetic attempt to include personal growth and shit in the movie. Utterly embarrasing.
4/10

Suburban Girl:
Blaaaaaaah. We'll say this in unison guys - 1-2-3- CLICHÉ!
Alright, I don't like either actors, Alec Baldwin and Sarah Michelle Geller. The theme was somewhat original - young girl falls in love with an older guy resembling her father- they could've done so much more with it. But alas. The highlight of the film was a brief reference to Dostoyevsky. Also, had they shown the peanutbutter-phobia-guy, I would love the movie. A huge disappointment. 'But then again, I didnt have the biggest expectations.
3/10

Definitely, Maybe..
Don't laugh. I would never have thought that I'd actually like movie in which the lead actor is Ryan Reynolds...umm yes..but I really liked it. It was sweet and lovely about the unpredicatability of love, . For once, it was good to see the real fairy tale ending. And Rachel Weisz is an amazing actress.
7.5/10

Wackoe-Jackoe- No I’m not one of your male relatives but something tells me I might have once been a man in another life *Giggles* I kid. A man would never be as fabulous as me *flutters lashes and self indulgently kisses her hand* But really- you should have given it a chance- true it was particularly gruesome in the eerily kind but it slowly draws you into the movie- I love the 70’s theme…so at odds with death and destruction. Brown and magnolia often represents peace and tranquillity not necessarily death and destruction.

Oh and I’m yet to see Definitely-maybe- I actually really wanted to see it because I witness just how low Ryan Reynolds could go. His films are renowned for being wholesomely good but any stretching of the imagination. He completely ruined Blade trinity with his silly jokes. But I did admittedly laugh at the vagina with the fangs one. LOL-Oh and he did look hot. I’m a bloke- give me hot looking guys in wet shirts running for the bus Baywatch style and I’m pleased.

Also –I abosolutely agree about Kung fu Panda-definitely the best animation since Nemo, antz and the first Ice age. Though honestly nothing has come close to beating Ice Age for me personally.

Malindi- (each movie is about 2 hours give or take) so I make that 6 hours. Since then- I've spent more than that amount of time this week alone reading about Islam and the lives of prophet, going to lectures and reading Quranic translations. So yes I have technically, but is it enough? Perhaps not. Anyway- I appreciate the sentiment and the importance of your message-perhaps then next time I'll make an Islamic topic one of these days about my descoveries.

CrazyLady-That long ago eh? hehe

1) Kuch Kuch Hota Hai:

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is also one of the big romantic movies. It is a love triangle where one dies (Rani Mukherjee) and gives the responsibility of reuniting the other two (Shahrukh and Kajol) to her daughter.

2) Devdas:

The film was remade with Shahrukh in the lead and was again a success. Devdas is a rich and handsome young man who is madly in love with her beautiful neighbour, Paro. Forced by circumstances, Paro marries a rich but ageing zamindar. Heart broken, Devdas takes too drinking and gains sympathy of a nautch girl Chandramukhi. The fim has a tragic end with Devdas dying infront of Paro house.

3) Chori Chori

Khushi is a careless worker always conning her boss and making excuses to bunk her duty. She meets Ranbir Malhotra (Ajay Devgan) and comes to know that the home he plans to build for his love is now a dream unfulfilled. After being dispelled from her job, her devil brain works. She locates the bungalow and moves in, informing everyone that she is Ranbir's fiancée. There she meets Ranbir's family and Pooja (Sonali Bendre), Ranbir's love...
